New Fashion Trend....collars!

I've been on Twitter and been reading this new fashion trend of collars. This style uses old men's dress shirts and cutting the collars off of them and embellish them as you see fit. It is almost a necklace replacement. If you know me, I am the type to create something so unlike everyone else. My taste in fashion is bizarre, chic, and modern. Being that this "collar fashion" is something I could have thought of, I figured I give it a try! Stay tuned for a tutorial!

My new Go-To Snacks!!

Since I have been dieting and watching what I eat for the past week now, I find that eating healthy is an option when I am out and about with the kiddos. When traveling, I grab a Yoplait yogurt and bottle of water. It's only been a week and already my body is adjusting to the smaller portions. I haven't eaten a large meal since I started and I feel refreshed each morning and more alert. The dark circles around my eyes due to lack of rest and water is fading and I feel lighter. One thing I forgot to do during this Yoplait challenge was document my weight loss. I forgot to buy a scale! SMH...
My new food regimen and diet will definitely continue. But I have grown to appreciate breakfast drinks. One bottle of Special K Chocolate milk protein drink in the morning held over until dinner time! I am unsure if it would be the same for a different body type, but me being 5'4 135lbs, it reduced my appetite almost the whole day.
Another snack I found is Nutella & go. It's a hazelnut spread with breadsticks to dip with. I actually enjoy it and also reduces my appetite as well.

Day 3: Yoplait 2 week challenge

I am enjoying this challenge so far despite the soreness from my Zumba workout. I have to gain enough strength to workout today. My lunch consisted of a cup of carrots and a bottle of water. Dinner was some spinach pizza. Tonight, I will treat myself to some Light And Creamy Chicken Enchiladas (follow the link): http://yoplait.com/recipe/light-and-creamy-chicken-enchiladas

I am excited to eat a real meal!

Day 1: Yoplait Challenge **Dinner**

Well, dinner was interesting. I prepared a small portion of sauteed shrimp with fresh garlic and lemon, rice and California blend vegetables then drunk two cups of cranberry apple juice. I think the juice filled me rather than the dinner. It was good though. I am learning the importance of portion control big time!
If I feel the need to snack, I will eat some Yoplait Strawberry and Banana yogurt...that's it!

Tomorrow, my breakfast will be a cup of Multigrain Cheerios and a piece of grapefruit then exercise to my Zumba game for 30 minutes. Lunch will be a cup of baby carrots and another cup of Multigrain Cheerios.

Y'all pray for me!

My little din din
Happy Dieting!

My Two Week Yoplait Challenge begins today!

Last week while enjoying some yogurt, I read the container and saw a weight loss challenge advertisement. I went online and became interested in the Yoplait's 2 week Tune Up Challenge. The challenge is to follow a strict yet flexible meal plan and exercise 30-40 minutes a day and lose 5 pounds after 2 weeks. I have decided to take the challenge and went grocery shopping. The idea is to eat smaller, healthier portions throughout the day and exercise. It is not a bad plan and actually it's perfect for me. We shall see.

My desire is to lose 5 lbs then tone up. I am sure I can achieve it with this challenge then continue eating as the challenge suggest.

Here's a link to my meal plan: http://yoplait.com/twoweektuneup/weekly-meal-planner#

Me as of December 2011

I am only about 135-ish and I am sure you guys probably wont see a difference 2 weeks from now, but I will definitely feel the difference! I just want to get rid of this baby belly.

Stay tuned.... ;o)

Bob Coy on Broncos Quarterback Tim Tebow

I am no expert on sports, but this Tim Tebow is the talk of the town! Vocal Christian and QB for the Denver Broncos. He has everyone talking about Christianity! Remember, every knee shall bow! Ha!

Our Christmas Experience

After 6 years of martial bliss and 5 years of parenthood, we decided to celebrate Christmas. For years there has been a dispute on whether we should celebrate it. Christmas has become so commercialized that we didn't want to fall into the category of not celebrating the true meaning. Well, this past Christmas we celebrated with gifts and an awesome time at church. We didn't put up a tree, but I do plan on doing so the next Christmas holiday to have a tradition for the kids sake.

Testimony time: We have decided to start saving money to have a hefty down payment on a home we are interested in. As a result of saving, we figured we hold off buying the things the kids asked for. But don't you know, that our kids had an abundance of gifts? Clothes, shoes, and a toy or two from a variety of friends and family. We are so grateful for those who helped us celebrate Christmas with our children. This Christmas has shown us that God is faithful and know our need. He has supplied our every need for our children and we are so so grateful! Glory to God!!

Winterized Styles

It's getting a bit cool here in Houston and I was finding way to be trendy yet warm. I love the styles of Wendy. Layering is always a great way to keep warm and stylish. In this installment of her pairing videos, she is in my hometown, Chicago aka The Windy City to show some ways to pair and dress for the cooler weather. This video takes me back to the days of walking Downtown Chicago and enjoying the beautiful skyline...but I do not miss the weather...LOL

To all my Chicago people, I love you all and hopefully will see you soon once it's warmer! ;o)

Mealtime=Family Funtime

Earlier this week, I wanted the kids to experience preparing a meal. I decided the best meal to prepare with them is pizza. I think pizza is a universal meal..it's quick and easy! I found some pizza dough from Pillsbury and I had a few ingredients on hand: sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Italian sausage. I baked the dough them cooked the sausage. Once the hard work was completed, the kids began to assemble their pizzas. It went well and the clean up was little to none. What a great way to cook and get the babies involved!

Disclaimer: This might not be suitable for adults. Ray and I were messed up after eating this! LOL

Happy 2012!!

Well Happy New Year everyone!

I am excited to see what is in store this year for this family. I believe that it is harvest time and God has some plans for us the year! We brought in the new year at church! We had Consecration Thursday night to Saturday then from Saturday night into the New year was our watchnight service! We had a awesome time at Mt. Rose!

Today, Raymiah went back to school. She was super duper excited to see her teacher again. Things are back normal ow as far as our schedule goes. I'm back into my studies and I am preparing a curriculum for Rylee and Ray the Third. I will also reintroduce potty training to the boy. I refuse to go another year buying diapers for this overgrown boy! Seriously!

Again, Happy New Year!
